1. About the Platform

Event सञ्जाल ("the Platform") is operated by AImpact Limited ("AImpact", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in New Zealand and based in Auckland.

The Platform connects Nepali organisations, clubs, event promoters, and community groups across Aotearoa New Zealand with ticket buyers and attendees. We provide event discovery, ticketing, field operations, and communication tools.

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Platform as a registered user or visitor. Please read them carefully.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or using any feature of the Platform, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the Platform.

If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to register, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • Provide accurate and current information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your details up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your password secure and do not share it.
  • Contact us immediately at info@aimpact.co.nz if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We may suspend or permanently close accounts that breach these Terms, are used fraudulently, or are inactive for an extended period.

4. Tickets & Purchases

Tickets sold through the Platform are offered by independent event organisers ("Organisers"). AImpact facilitates the transaction but is not the seller of tickets.

  • Each ticket contains a unique, cryptographically signed QR code that is valid for one scan at the venue. Do not share your QR code before the event.
  • A screenshot of a ticket does not constitute a valid ticket if the QR code has already been scanned. Entry is first-come, first-served for duplicate tickets.
  • Tickets are tied to your account. Unless the Organiser expressly states that tickets are transferable, you may not sell or transfer them to another person.
  • Some events carry age restrictions set by the Organiser. These are displayed on the event page. You are responsible for complying with them.
  • An order confirmation and e-ticket will be sent to your registered email address following a successful purchase. If you do not receive it within 30 minutes, check your spam folder and then contact us.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways (BlinkPay for New Zealand bank payments, and Stripe for card payments). AImpact does not store your payment card details at any point in the transaction.

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable, unless the event page states otherwise.
  • The total amount charged — including any applicable platform or payment-processing fees — is shown clearly before you confirm your purchase.
  • Your bank or card issuer may apply its own foreign transaction fees. We have no control over these charges.
  • A payment failing after you submit it does not guarantee your tickets. Capacity is not held during payment processing. If the event sells out before your payment clears, you will be refunded in full.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund eligibility is set by the Organiser and displayed on each event page before you purchase. Read the refund policy before buying.
  • If an Organiser cancels an event, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value. AImpact will facilitate the refund once the Organiser confirms cancellation.
  • Payment-processing fees charged by BlinkPay or Stripe may not be refundable — this depends on each gateway's policy at the time of refund.
  • To request a refund, contact the Organiser directly using the details on the event page. If you cannot reach the Organiser, email us at info@aimpact.co.nz and we will attempt to assist.
  • Approved refunds are typically returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you hold under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

7. Organiser Responsibilities

Events listed on the Platform are produced and run by independent Organisers who are separate legal entities from AImpact. When you purchase a ticket, you are entering into a contract with the Organiser, not with AImpact Limited.

AImpact does not:

  • Guarantee the quality, safety, accuracy of description, or delivery of any event.
  • Control event pricing, capacity decisions, line-up changes, or cancellations.
  • Act as agent, partner, or representative of any Organiser.

Disputes about the event itself — including entry refusal, event quality, or misrepresentation — should be directed first to the Organiser. If unresolved, you may contact us and we will assist where we reasonably can. For serious consumer disputes, you may also contact Consumer Protection New Zealand at consumerprotection.govt.nz.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable New Zealand law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, another user's account, or our systems.
  • Resell tickets above their face value (scalping) without the written permission of the Organiser.
  • Distribute, reproduce, or share QR codes from your tickets for the purpose of enabling multiple entries.
  • Use automated tools to purchase tickets ahead of other users (botting).
  • Upload, post, or transmit content that is defamatory, offensive, or that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.

We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that breach this policy without notice.

9. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform (such as profile information, photos, or event interest form responses). By submitting content, you grant AImpact Limited a limited, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you.

We do not sell your content to third parties, use it in advertising, or claim any additional rights over it.

10. Intellectual Property

The Event सञ्जाल name, brand, logo, software, interface design, and original written content on the Platform are owned by AImpact Limited and protected by New Zealand and international intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under New Zealand law:

  • AImpact Limited's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant ticket or service that gave rise to the claim.
  • AImpact is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of enjoyment, travel or accommodation costs, or costs arising from a missed or cancelled event caused by factors outside our direct control.
  • We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected immediately.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

If we make a material change — one that significantly affects your rights — we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
